Course Structure
Three intensive weekend modules. Modules 1 and 2 are independent and can be taken separately or together. Module 3 is open to participants who have completed at least one of the first two modules or already have an advanced level of Soundpainting.
Who Can Participate?
Open to musicians, singers, dancers, actors, visual artists, educators, and creators from all artistic disciplines. No previous Soundpainting experience is required for Modules 1 and 2.
International Certification (optional)
Participants may obtain official international certification: Level 1 Level 2 Multidisciplinary Certification

FRANCE - Soundpainting Interactive Conference #5
Soundpainting Interactive Conference #5 with Walter Thompson, Eric Chapelle, Angélique Cormier, Vincent Lê Quan
Created in 2016 by Walter Thompson and Angélique Cormier, this international gathering brings together Soundpainters and performers to share ideas, explore the latest developments in the Soundpainting language, and strengthen a vibrant community beyond the screen.
Participants will deepen their fluency through lectures, discussions, and a wide range of hands-on workshops. The workshops are led by highly advanced Soundpainters—including the language’s creator, Walter Thompson—who are both accomplished artists and experienced educators, ensuring a rich and inspiring learning experience. S.I.C. is a rare chance to exchange, play, perform, live-compose, and celebrate Soundpainting together.
This 5th edition will take place in Blois, France. The YET Ensemble team will host S.I.C. in a community center in the heart of Blois.
The international faculty for S.I.C. #5 includes Walter Thompson (Sweden/USA), Eric Chapelle (France), Vincent Lê Quang (France), and Angélique Cormier (France).

GERMANY - Masterclass and Certification

Masterclass and certification
The master class is for beginners and advanced. In order to take part in the certification, one must know all gestures from Workbook 1 (music) and be able to lead a soundpainting performance of approx. 10 -15 minutes.
On Saturday and Sunday morning there will be a master class where beginners will get to know the first gestures and advanced users will have the opportunity to deepen their knowledge and soundpaint a group in order to prepare for the certification.
The certifications will take place from Sunday afternoon. Participants who do not do certification are asked to participate as a soundpainting ensemble.

ITALY - Accademia Risonanze Armoniche
Chamber Music & Soundpainting Academy
July 11–19, 2026 — Lagolo, Lasino (Trento, Italy)
This academy is open to all instrumentalists, singers, and actors of all levels. The program features daily Soundpainting sessions (2 hours per day) led by Marika Lombardi.
Lombardi is a Soundpainter certified in Levels 1 and 2 by Walter Thompson and currently serves as a professor at Pôle Sup'93 and the CRD (Conservatoire à Rayonnement Départemental) de Pantin.
Participants will engage in the art of Live Composition, exploring the syntax and multidisciplinary potential of the Soundpainting language. Three public performances are scheduled between July 16 and July 18.
