Soundpainting Level 3 (Multidisciplinary) Intensive + Certification (Paris)
With Walter Thompson, François Jeanneau and Claude Whipple
Level 3 is the multidisciplinary gateway to Soundpainting: the Level-1 toolkit applied across music, dance, and theatre. Five focused days to become a confident leader with mixed-discipline ensembles—ending with certification and a public showing.
Format & Faculty
Mon–Wed (Apr 20–22): Core training with Claude Whipple — translate L1 skills to movement and text; drills, short reps, and ensemble practice.
Thu–Fri (Apr 23–24): Certification/staging with Walter Thompson and François Jeanneau — coaching, Level 3 assessment, and a Friday evening public performance.
What you’ll work on (L2 skillset)
L1 refresh at tempo: syntax, vocabulary, posture, and general clarity.
L1 signs for dancers and actors : drilled in isolation, then in real ensemble pieces.
Compositional form: realtime decisions to serve the general form of a multidisciplinary piece.
Staying present: remaining open to whatever comes and making it yours. Not dropping the ball.
Assessment focuses on
Syntax accuracy across disciplines • clarity and timing while leading • listening and coordination between stage/sound/text • coherent short-form structure • ensemble balance, safety, and readable results.
Who it’s for (prereq)
Performers/educators who are L1 (music) certified or have equivalent experience, plus movers/actors/speakers comfortable learning the L1 vocabulary. Open to musicians, dancers/movers, actors, and spoken-word artists.
