S.I.C. # 4
After five years on pause, the Soundpainting Interactive Conference (S.I.C.) returns!
Created in 2016 by Walter Thompson and Angélique Cormier, this international gathering brings together Soundpainters and performers to share ideas, explore the latest developments in the Soundpainting language, and strengthen a vibrant community beyond the screen.
Participants will deepen their fluency through lectures, discussions, and a wide range of hands-on workshops. The workshops are led by highly advanced Soundpainters—including the language’s creator, Walter Thompson—who are both accomplished artists and experienced educators, ensuring a rich and inspiring learning experience. S.I.C. is a rare chance to exchange, play, perform, live-compose, and celebrate Soundpainting together.
This 4th edition will take place in Blois, France—the hometown of co-creator and lead organizer Angélique Cormier. The YET Ensemble team will host S.I.C. in a community center in the heart of Blois.
The international faculty for S.I.C. #4 includes Walter Thompson (Sweden/USA), Eric Chapelle (France), Johan Sabbe (Belgium), and Angélique Cormier (France). The full program will be available soon
